Hello, I'm Amanda, a professional with a unique background in both counseling and dietetics. My mission is to guide individuals in finding harmony with their relationship to food, mood, and body image. Drawing from personal experiences in navigating the challenges of diet culture and the demanding environment of the dance world, I have developed a passion for assisting others in achieving freedom and balance in their lives.

With a Bachelor's degree in clinical nutrition and a Master's degree in community counseling, I bring a comprehensive understanding of both physical and mental well-being to my practice. My professional journey includes invaluable experiences in hospital and outpatient nutrition settings, addressing diverse issues such as hypertension, celiac disease, diabetes, weight management, and cancer treatment.

My counseling expertise has been honed through meaningful roles, including working at an inpatient eating disorders rehabilitation facility. This experience allowed me to forge deep connections with clients and delve into transformative therapeutic processes including group, psychoeducation, body image, cooking groups, meal experiences, individual, and family support counseling. Subsequently, I extended my skills in outpatient services, specializing in play therapy for children while also catering to the needs of adults and teens. This phase broadened my knowledge in areas such as ADHD, anxiety, life transitions, and depression enhancing my ability to support individuals with diverse needs.

Upon relocating to Colorado, I found my niche in a practice specializing in eating disorders and ADHD. After a hiatus for family commitments and the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, I am thrilled to announce the establishment of my private practice. This venture allows me to extend my services to the Colorado community, offering flexibility with insurance and developing a specialized coaching program for disordered eating and body image even outside of Colorado.

I'm here to help you find your best self mentally and physically through counseling and nutrition while improving your  relationship with your body and food
